ProspectBa - Platform for Systematic Innovation

ProspectBa is a platform of methods and tools developed for distributed innovation teams to help them explore future business opportunities. It fuses frameworks for modeling consumer problems with scenario planning methods and provides social media tools for virtual ideation.

The proposition

1. Systematic and Systemic Methodology for Exploring Innovation Opportunities

ProspectBa is a design-led way to envision alternative futures and related concepts for a domain (e.g. music, pets, cars, energy, etc..). The process systematically translates research into a domain system image. Global driving forces are used to project the system image to a desired migration point. Through the process an understanding of future domain problems and innovations co-evolve.

2. Platform for Distributed Collaboration and Design

Innovation networks are able to synthesize perspectives and share inputs for design using the ProspectBa tools, common framework and design vocabulary. Ultimately, innovation networks can develop domain knoweldge and concepts in an evolutionary, emergent and self-organized way. As a result they are able to easily integrate new participants and information.

3. Bridge Between Innovation Teams, Cycles and Phases

ProspectBa encapsulates insight and foresight with design parameters and variables, present and future concepts and related design briefs. The concepts are treated as a portfolio of innovation options which are monitored for relevance and timing. The diversity of produced knowledge facilitates its application across organization and product development cycles.
